The Misono UX10 7-inch Santoku knife has not been included in my best Santoku knives top list, which has been published earlier. However, this will change since this Santoku is a real gem. It is thin, light and extremely well balanced.
The knife is made of superb quality high-carbon Swedish steel. The „Swedish“ bit might be a bit confusing but make no mistake, this knife really is a Japanese knife.
The UX10 sports an asymetrical edge, which i sone of the things that really set the knife apart from other Santoku knives on the market. It’s so much sharper thany your average knife, that it simply glides through anything you put under its blade. So be sure to keep your fingers in safety, as the blade can bet he last thing your fingers will ever see due to to the blade’s sharpness.
As any other Santoku, the UX10 is an all-purpose knife which can be used anywhere where a western chef’s knife is used. Be it for slicing meat, dicing veggies or crushing garlic cloves.
The handle is made of composite wood, and it’s made well enough to prevent accidental slippage.
About the Misono company
Misono is one of the most popular brands in Japan when it comes to knife making. The knives they make can be considered to be something like Ferraris in the knife industry. The company is based in Seki City, Japan. Misono offers a wide range of kitchen knives, one of them being the Misono Santoku UX1O, which we are closely looking at today.

My personal and customer feedback
The knife enjoys very favorable customer reviews. It sits among the top rated santoku knives available on the market. With many of the reviewers stating that the knife is magnificent in every aspect, there is no reason to think that the knife is not a great choice. It’s so well made, that it will last a lifetime, making it an excellent investment for the money.
As with any other knife, you will have to take care of it to maintain its sharpness. I would recommend to use a quality knife sharpener, as the knife doesn’t deserve the punishment be sharpened by some old garden whetstone.
All in all, the UX10 is one of the best santoku knives, I’ve ever seen, and it definetely is worth the hefty price tag it wears. Be sure to check retailers for any discounts they may be offering and grab it when you can. If you are not low on budget, you won’t make a mistake by getting this gem of a knife.
So this is the end of the Misono UX10 Santoku review and I am looking forward to any questions and comments you may have.
